So today was interesting. Had one heckuva week. hehe. Switched shifts with Rebecca today so she could attend the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) awards banquet. So I started at 2pm...and will get off shift at 10pm. Figured I'd slip in a blog post while i was at it. Especially since I've been so freaking delinquent with my postings.

So 4:45 p.m. rolled around, and I had just finished up editing my assignment, and filing it. I went ahead and decided to grab the Nikkor 400mm and take it out for a spin. Off to "Kewalo's"!!!

I arrived at Kewalo's to find very, very lackluster waves. I was definitely not happy with teh waves i was seeing, but i decided to fire off some frames anyway. Here's one.

After sticking around for 30 minutes i decided to vacate Kewalo Basin. As i headed for my car i noticed that there was a large crowd across the basin at Kakaako, right where point panic is. Hmmm...i thoguht. This could be fun...and so it was.

To make the day EVEN FUNNER, i got drenched by a MONSTER WAVE crashing against the rocks at Point Panic. I rushed back to the newsroom to get my gear dried off.
